[職場英語] 生活中難免遇到需要談論尷尬話題的時候，例如：放屁，廁所，死亡這些話題。

當然直率的說也是沒問題，代表你的個性直接豪爽，但職場或一些特殊場合（例如約會）總是會想用一些委婉的方式表達這些～

上廁所：

1. I need to answer the call of nature. 所謂 ”the call of nature” 所謂的就是內急。

2. Excuse me, I would like to powder my nose. “powder my nose” 就是補妝，這句話當然是女生們用的～

3. I gotta go visit John. 同學如果有電子辭典可以查自己英文名字的意思，”John” 有廁所的意思。

4. I must hit the loo. “loo”是英式的說法。這邊的”hit”這邊的不是打，是等同”visit” “go” 的口語說法。同理，去健身房也可以說 ”hit the gym”。

放屁：

1. Pass the gas. 這是一般表達放屁的說法。也可用fart (v.)。

2. Did someone cut the cheese? 有些人認為cheese有一種臭臭的味道，所以就有cut the cheese 切乳酪來隱喻放屁。

死亡：
1. I’m sorry to inform you that Fred is no longer with us. 我很遺憾告知你Fred已經過世了。

2. Fred passed away/ passed on/ departed from us. 

3. Fred went to meet his Maker. 這邊”Maker” 造物主要大寫，就像是 “God”一樣。
